Bucket Full of Frogs is a children's book that is based off my first memory that I can recall interacting with frogs. When I was five or six, me and my two older siblings went outside to catch frogs. One evening, we caught around 15 frogs and had them in a bucket. We did this almost every summer and we stayed out late too.
This project started as a assignment for one of my graphic design classes and it was well received, so I made it into a personal project in hopes of it getting published.
For the story, I wanted to get imaginative, what if we see different frogs from around the world and we collect each one? That didn't go as planned so I stuck with the original story and started working on the style. I knew from the jump to use vibrant colors and easy to read illustrations, but how do I make it interesting? Well, I did some research and read a few other popular children books and came up with this paint and cut-outs style we have now.
As of now, I am working with publishers and editors to get this book published, it's a back and forth process but hopefully, you will find it on Amazon one day.
